On food history: The Foodways
Group of Austin meets monthly at the Culinary Academy
of Austin. The purpose of the group is to promote a
mechanism for food lovers, writers, researchers, and
culinary professionals to explore food and foodways
of the past and present, in Texas, in the US, and throughout
the world. Over the past few years, a dozen culinary
history groups have developed across the country in
places such as New York, Boston, Chicago, Houston, and
Hawaii. Foodways is an anthropological term describing
the eating habits and culinary practices of a people,
region, or historical period. The Foodways Group of
Austin organizes classes, lectures, roundtable discussions,
events, exhibits and other programs focusing on culinary
history and culture.

Academy of Austin se convierta en el centro de reunión

un centro de recursos para todos aquellos interesados

Culinary Academy of Austin está ampliando su
biblioteca con libros y materiales relacionados con
cocina y comida en varios idiomas. Además. CAA
tiene planeada una serie de talleres, conferencias y
